Bibi Graetz Casamatta Toscana 2008
his wine, made from 100% Sangiovese, comes from a variety of young vineyards located in different zones of important traditions such as the Sieci, Siena and Maremma, and reconfirms the exceptional nature of the Tuscan territory. Casamatta reflects the estate's philosophy which emphasizes territory and tradition. The grapes are harvested between the second half of September and the beginning of October.
Following mololactic fermentation in steel tanks, the wine is transferred to barrique, where it remains until bottling. Traditional in its complexity and roundness, modern in its forward fruit, accessibility and approachable tannins. The wine is an intense ruby red and is a beautiful and elegant representation of Sangiovese with classic notes of dry cherry, currant, and spice but also perfumed floral notes with a medium to full- bodied palate and soft agreeable tannins.
