Bertani Armarone Villa Arvedi is produced from vineyards in the hills of the Valpantena Valley, a distinctive cru within Italy's Valpolicella district. In classic Amarone fashion, grapes are handpicked and laid out to dry for several months before pressing. Intense purple color. The nose is dense and deep, with aromas of raisins, ripe cherries, wild berries, and spice. The aromas carry through onto the dry, full-bodied and well-structured Villa Arvedi palate; approachable with vibrant flavors of ripe cherries, raisins, almonds, and spice against a backdrop of smooth, supple tannins and a memorable finish. An outstanding match with roast meat or game, as well as hearty, flavorful cheeses served with figs and nuts.
