Bella Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley 2006
This classic Dry Creek zinfandel was de-stemmed and fermentation began immediately and continued for 15 days. Pumpovers were performed twice daily in a submerged-cap tank. The maceration was gentle and without excessive skin contact, resulting in a classic, mouth-filling zinfandel. The wine was pressed off at dryness. The Dry Creek zin starts out with a pretty nose of raspberry, plum and vanilla spice before engulfing the palate with bright fruit and a rush of sweet oaky tannin. The finish is deliciously soft and lingers with a hint of cherry and cream. This classic wine is extremely approachable now and will cellar well through 2012.
