Azienda Agricola Sorrentino Lacryma Christi Rosso 2013
Wine of an intense ruby color, clearly vinous smell with a mellow and velvety taste. Particularly enhanced when enjoyed with roasted or grilled meats and game. It must be preserved and drunk at room temperature. Pair with red-meat roasts, game, truffled foods, or cheeses.
90% Piedirosso, 10 % Aglianico. The wine's name is born from a legend: Lucifero, chased by Heaven, brought with himself a strip of it and deposed it in the Gulf of Naples. God, aching to have lost such a beautiful part of the Heaven, started to cry and there where his tears fell, the grapevines rose for the miracle. The wine obtained from these grapevines was called "Lacryma Christi." The two varities used and the fusion with the Vesuvian area give origin to a product that best expresses its own potential characteristics.
