This vintage is 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Ash Hollow Vineyard, the grapes for this wine came from three different blocks. Hand harvesting took place between September 21 and October 18, 2006. All lots were fermented separately and barrel aged in 80% French Oak and 20% American Oak for eighteen months. Eighteen barrels were "cherry-picked" from the Merlot lots to produce this special wine.
