Deep ruby-red in color, AN/2 has complex aromas of savory spices, wild raspberries, dark cherry fruit, and a hint of violets and smokiness. On the palate the wine is silky and elegant with intense flavors of mature fruit. Well balanced with a long finish. This wine pairs excellently with pork chops, rabbit ravioli, or roasted leg of duck.
Produced and estate bottled by An Viticultors (A.K.A. Anima Negra). Born in 1994, Anima Negra comes as a result of the symbiosis of the climate, the land, and the indigenous varieties from the island of Mallorca. Situated in the southeast of Mallorca, the winery produces its wines in the old country estate of Son Burguera; the building dates back to the 13th century. Natural farming is prioritized. The respect shown to the individual features of the soil and the cultivation of the indigenous varieties (callet, manto negro, fogoneu, and premsal blanc) has formed the basis of their philosophy in the way they approach their viticulture and this is reflected in the wine itself.
