Alpha Box & Dice Fog 2006
Amidst the haze and confusion of the pursuit, the mind and eye can doubt, only to find the palate has stumbled over treasure. Fog' is a blend of three tannic grape varieties, Nebbiolo playing the major role, with minor support from Cabernet Sauvignon and Tannat. The methodology behind the blend is similar to the approach used by winemakers in the 1940's and 1950's which resulted in some of Australia's longest lived wines. Using components from different varieties and vineyards as vehicles to drive a style rather than being 100% single vineyard focused. Nebbiolo takes it's name from the Latin word Nebbia meaning Fog or mist.
