Alban vineyards are a patchwork of isolated soil types that you may recognize as Reva, Lorraine, Seymour’s and Pandora. Between and in route to these well healed sites are vineyards that are not so obviously distinct. They have blended these disparate and ‘disenfranchised’ blocks into a single wine they call Patrina. Every year Sleepy Hollow Vineyard faces the most difficult set of challenges from Mother Nature. It does not get much sunlight and lives much of the time in the fog and wind. These set of vines are susceptible to botrytis and mildew and more recently mealy bug infestation. Mother Nature's constant attack on these vines is a supreme challenge to the concept of winegrowing and often is the most satisfying work that the winemaker at Arcadian Winery does. Learn More

Produced and bottled by Margerum Wine Company. "Barden Syrah is shaped and sculptured. Its drapes reveal dark rooms full of the unknown; frighteningly sinister, packed, and powerful. Ours is a swirling worldly vision, moody but aware. We dared and entered this world with trepidation. Syrah is our blood-right and our passion; we realize we are on the road to madness. It lives near the boar's den . . ." Learn More
