Apple Bite Cidre Bouche Biologique
Fresh ripe apple aromas frame the nose, and forming a sturdy platform for a tiny and intriguing bit of funk along with a touch of woodiness. The flavors are very much, sweet ripe apple-driven. And they are very clean, very linear and rich flavors due in large part to the natural sugars left behind. A bit of musty funk shows up on the side, but not in anything like an overdose. Since 1983 the cooperative of Val de Rance brought together the cider-making experience of 300 passionate local growers from Brittany, France. After recent investments, the co-operative has expanded and modernised its equipment. Today, the Val de Rance represents over 1,000 acres of orchards, producing ten to fifteen thousand tons of apples each year. Apple Bite is produced on the cooperative’s site at Pleudihen sur Rance in Brittany. It aims to be a crisp, naturally fruity cider in the Breton style by using traditional production methods and the best selection from organic certified apples.
